I guess mine are burning fast. But I have them on a marble plate and am not worrying about them going through or anything. Just take the precautions you should take with any candles, really. Don't leave them unattended, things like that. Any candles you burn over stones are going to get the stones waxy. That's a given.
As far as them burning fast, they look cool but I don't intend to let them sit there forever, anyway. I don't mind burning through them. They were a gift and I'm getting use out of them. I like mine fine and I think they are nice.

| This was a gift for my new Sister in Law and she loved it. It was really hard to give it to her after I received it because I wanted to keep it for myself. I will definately be ordering again!!!! |

| This candle set is a really nice decorative centre piece. It gives off a very nice smell in the area it is placed. It is made of cheap wax, but it doesn't bother me as I bought this set for enjoyment and to add decor to my apartment. Great buy if you don't want to burn! |

| This was a gift for a 93 year old mother who, even at her age, loves attractive things in her home. While this is intended as a definite Feng Shui product, it is just as well suited to adorning the coffee table, mantle, end table, etc. It is attractive and appropriate for almost all, if not all, schemes. |
