A consultant can file your return electronically

Do you have to file a personal tax filling return? In case you make less than R120 000 for one full year from just one workplace (full earnings income before tax), have absolutely no travel allowance and have zero extra earnings you need to file or reductions that you wish to claim, you don’t need to give an income tax return to your South African Revenue Service (SARS).

If you absolutely have to file a salary taxes, you will need to decide how you are going to do so. You’ve three options: 1) Send your document return by post or deposit it in the drop box at a SARS office If you need to file a documents return, you must request the actual return via SARS. ; 2) Pay a visit to a SARS office, where a specialist could submit your return into electronic files for you; or 3) Efiling via the internet from a personal pc. If you aren’t yet an eFiler, signup with www.sarsefiling.co.za

If you’re a provisional taxpayer (in case you get source of income not subject to employee tax) you are able to not anymore delay to receive your tax return form over the post, you now need to obtain your provisional tax form from SARS. SARS don’t be sending these types of forms to provisional citizens automatically. If you happen to be younger than sixty five plus your taxable wages are lower than the present tax limit of R57 000I, or if perhaps your taxable money (just after exemptions) pertaining to interest, dividends and rental salary is not more than R120 000 you don’t have to demand a provisional tax form. If you’re older than 65, with a taxable income less than R120 000 and your taxable income was from interest, dividends and rentals, you are exempt from requesting and submitting a provisional tax form.
